Situated approximately 27 miles southwest of Oklahoma City, it spans nearly 29.5 square miles and rests at an elevation of about 1,250 feet. The population surged 23.2% from 6,010 at the 2010 census to 7,413 in 2020. Established around 1901 on land purchased from the Colbert family of the Chickasaw Nation, the city was named in honor of rancher James H. Tuttle. Tuttle’s economy is deeply rooted in agriculture, with farms focusing on wheat, cotton, corn, hay, and cattle—while nearby Braum’s Dairy underscores the area's agribusiness footprint.
